Neil Lomax Talk at Royal Aeronautical Society

On Thursday 11 March, Neil Lomax (team member, and Trident expert) will be doing a talk at the Royal Aeronautical Society at the Community Learning Centre, BA Waterside. The talk will be on the Trident – From Then to Now, and will go into details about his work on G-AWZK at Manchester, and his hopes for our aircraft, G-ARPO.

Please come along to support him and the museum if you can. The talk will take place from 6.15pm.

Just as an addition, if you plan to attend you MUST register with Adrian Constable either by e-mail (secretary raeslhr.org.uk or on 07951-069013 by 12 noon on 11th March.

This site represents the bid to save and preserve the last complete Hawker Siddeley HS.121 Trident 1C anywhere in the world. This is G-ARPO, the 16th Trident built and the last 1C to fly. It is based in the north east of England. We will be moving it to the North East Aircraft Museum at Sunderland later in 2010.

Saving this aircraft is only going to be possible through donations to the project. Our biggest costs will be to cover the dismantling, transportation, and reassembly of the aircraft.
