July Interior and Cockpit Work

A lot more  painting work has been done in the forward cabin of G-ARPO over the past week, and today members of the team met to spend the day working on the interior some more.

The cabin wall panels and window frames have now all been painted in this forward section, along with the doors, forward toilet, ceiling panels and overhead bins. More coats will be needed, but as you can see from the photos here, it’s starting to look like a new aircraft again, and so far removed from the dark, dirty cabin we first encountered in 2009.

Tridentman Neil Lomax also spent today replacing the two ‘teardrop’ cockpit windows with new ones kindly donated by Gary Spoors of GJD Services. Neil also spent time painting sections of the cockpit and putting the instruments back in place, whilst his son Regan helped out with cleaning.
