Fosters have kindly offered use of a Transit van when it comes to removing scrap metal and other items from G-ARPO during her dismantling and the period leading up to her removal from site. They’re on hand for any logistics help we need, so we really appreciate it.

Make sure you consider them for any tree or garden work you need to show them thanks.

The picture below shows the HDNL lorry which transported the ladders up to the museum.

We spent time inspecting their Trident 2E, registration G-AVFE, which is now largely unused and has many parts still in good condition both inside and outside. Since these parts are largely interchangeable between Trident 1 and 2 aircraft, we could use many of these when restoring G-ARPO at Sunderland.

Subject to final go-ahead, we should be heading back to Belfast in April or May to bring back many of the parts.

Today she is in remarkably good condition considering her age and is ready to be restored as soon as we raise enough money
